- What is RPT? “It’s odd, it’s quirky but it’s damn serious about theatre.” RPT sets out to create various collaborations within Malaysian theatre community by integrating skills and talents from the seemingly disparate Chinese, English, and Malay theatre into full-fledged productions of professional calibre. Its maiden production was under the aegis of dramalab in 2006, RPT/dramalab’s Gadis Jalan Burmah, performed at the Stor, Dewan Bahasa & Pustaka. It was a bilingual one woman show performed by Soefira Jaafar, directed by David Lim (Toast!) and written by Shahredza Minhat (Toast!, Tat Nenas).
